The GFWC-Foothills Woman’s Club was organized as a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of South Carolina. The club was Federated on February 22, 2005 and Chartered on May 24, 2005. We began with 12 charter members. A Baby Shower was held to celebrate the “birth” of the new club. Lynn Cleckler, GFWC-SC President, installed the officers. Kathy Monahon, GFWC-SC President elect, presented a baby bottle of M&M’s (the state membership candy) to every member as a welcome to the Federation.
